..................TRANSFERS!

This week has been quite the adventure. It's been great!

There was a mudslide in the road between Puerto and Cusco, but it was alright, it had passed already when we got there in the bus.

I ended up staying in the assistants' apartment with a couple other elders; and my new one Wednesday night.

We've gotten a couple different goals this week with my new companion, it's awesome.

I ended up missing the bus since I didn't have any documents in Puerto, so I had to go in a car to Cusco with Elder Maldonado who was in the same boat.

There was snow on the way back from Cusco.

I have the opportunity to help an awesome elder. Elder Rodriguez.

I'm training again!!!!

I'm still district leader (not DL) :D

I like the way I wrote this message and I like the spaces on my blog (even though I haven't seen it there)

I'm feeling very happy.

I think I said all the important things.

Transfers... Transfers... Transfers... Transfers... News to come... ;)

Jajaja, soy malito, no? Pero no es mi culpa!!!!!!!! NO HAN ACTUALIZADO TODAVÍA!!!!!!! YO ME ESTOY MOLESTANDO!!!! Probablemente, no, no será bien.

Ok, English time. Don't translate that part above, yeah? Unless you want to have to do something that I say we all need to do, but if you're okay with that, it's better to not know the first part. :D I'm funny.

Anyway, this week is transfers, I'm not going to tell you guys though, okay? Hahaha

This week was also Zone Conference and Interviews with President! Those were fantastic!

We learned about asking better questions and doing better commitments with people. I worked on applying a little the questions and it was great.

I really don't have anything else to say right now. I just want them to finally send the email with what the transfers are! But the rest of the week was alright.

Have a great week, I'll try to give an update when I get it. :D

Another week in the Work

The sector is really picking back up again. We're finding new people and having more consecutive lessons. It's doing a lot better than it had been.

I gave a talk yesterday, about fasting, I had the opportunity to do a fast for some specific purposes this week and was seeing the fruits before I ended even. It's great the blessing of fasting.

I finished a large goal I'd put for myself back in Sicuani, a chart for developing Christ-like attributes. The 9 that are in Preach My Gospel as well as gratitude and teaching. I put 20 levels in each, so it was 220 goals or things I needed to do to finish it. and I finished this week!

A note, it was a transmission we went to for the groundbreaking last week, not Arequipa. It was broadcast to all of Peru and it was awesome!

We ran into Slava a couple more times this week, the guy that speaks German. I talked to him a little bit more, sharing a couple beliefs. He is an interesting fellow. Very cool.

There weren't too many different things that happened this week, Arian had a birthday party for his 18th birthday, he's a member that's getting ready for a mission. Great guy.

Lots of sun this week, but rain now. Keep going and have a great week!

Groundbreaking and other things

Our zone leader, Elder Huallparuca got called to be the new assistant this week, so he went off to Cusco. It's kind of crazy, but cool.

In the sector, we're doing something still, but we're not doing much. I think it's mostly because my companion has been sick and not feeling well for a while now, but I also feel like we're not finding people and that we've lost almost everyone we'd been teaching. We are picking it up a little, but we're struggling. I know that the Lord knows what's up though. And as we're diligent He'll bless us with success.

This week we had the opportunity to attend the groundbreaking of the Temple of Arequipa! That was awesome! The talks were great and the ceremony cool to watch. President Herrera was there and the Seventy that was conducting was super nervous the whole time almost, I can kind of relate now, knowing that he's a normal guy like me that has received a call from the Lord. But something funny that he misspoke is that President Herrera is president of the Arequipa mission, not Cusco. :D But it was great to be there and see it all.

Also, there exists a fruit here that when it's a little rotten it smells like parmesan cheese. My brain was having a really, really hard time with computing that. Still does.

That's pretty much it, but I was reminded of a hard lesson that I had to learn by someone who I think still needs to learn it. We were talking with someone and they told us that they couldn't forgive someone for the way the other person acted, that they had to ask forgiveness first. But I remembered that I've felt that way before and am still prone to feel the same way.

At times I've felt that all of my companions were doing things they needed to ask forgiveness of me, but when I asked it first, I felt better. Even if they may or may not have rejected my apology, I felt better. Because I was doing what the Lord has asked of me:

9 Wherefore, I say unto you, that ye ought to forgive one another; for he that forgiveth not his brother his trespasses standeth condemned before the Lord; for there remaineth in him the greater sin.

10 I, the Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is required to forgive all men.

11 And ye ought to say in your hearts—let God judge between me and thee, and reward thee according to thy deeds.
D&C 64:9-11

I'm not perfect, I still am quite prideful, but if any of you are waiting for another to ask forgiveness of you, take the step the Savior would take, and ask forgiveness of them, whatever it may be. He forgave those that killed Him, we can forgive all as well.
